Meet representatives of Andorra\u2019s central livestock breeders\u2019 association. Founded in 1999, the organization now has around 60 members and is responsible for the production, quality control, and marketing of meat under the Carn d\u2019Andorra<\/strong> origin and quality label.<\/p>

As part of the program, you will gain insights into sustainable animal husbandry at altitudes of up to 2,000 meters, modern feed practices without antibiotics, animal meal, or palm oil, as well as the organization of breeding, fattening, and slaughtering at the national abattoir. Livestock \u2013 cattle, sheep, goats, and horses \u2013 are strictly monitored and raised to the highest standards.<\/p>

A half-day professional visit to a traditional cheese producer whose roots date back to the 16th century. Originally focused on livestock and pasture farming, the family business still produces high-quality cheeses entirely by hand.<\/p>

Production is dedicated exclusively to shepherd\u2019s cheese made from the milk of local cows and sheep \u2013 in particular the prized Assaf breed, known for its nutrient-rich milk with 20% more omega-6 and less saturated fat.<\/p>

The range includes aged specialties such as Orri, Conlloc, and Pletiu; fresh cheeses like Cossol, Recuit, and Mata; and spreadable varieties such as Empriu and Bo\u00efga, the latter matured at low temperatures. Creamy yogurt made from especially rich milk also features among the products.<\/p>
