After about an hour’s bus ride through Andorra’s impressive mountain scenery, you will reach the starting point of your hike at the entrance to Sorteny Nature Park. Rich in wildflowers, this protected park since 1999 is home to around 750 plant species and is considered a botanical gem of the Pyrenees.
Your circular hike takes you through the Sorteny Valley, with its diverse alpine flora, and into the unspoiled Rialb Valley – a rewarding experience for both nature and hiking enthusiasts.
Afterwards, you will visit the charming mountain village of Ordino and tour the historic Casa d’Areny-Plandolit Museum. Here you will gain fascinating insights into the life of Andorra’s noble family – at a time when luxury was still a rarity in the principality.

After a short transfer from the hotel, your hike begins on a flat panoramic trail leading to the Engolasters reservoir. After a break at the lake, the route continues along the “Camí de les Matxos de les Matxos” to a viewpoint offering magnificent views over the capital.
In the afternoon, you will explore Andorra la Vella, strolling through the old town with its narrow streets and winding alleys. A visit to the historic government building, home to the smallest parliament in Europe, is included. Afterwards, the tour continues into the modern part of the city with its elegant bridges across the River La Valira, and you will have time to browse the many shops and boutiques for souvenirs. Thanks to low taxes, luxury goods as well as perfumes, cosmetics, clothing, spirits, and tobacco are particularly affordable.

The tour begins with a drive to the Soldeu area, where the coach drops guests off at Incles – as the road is too narrow for buses. From here, a moderate hike through the Vall d’Incles begins, passing former alpine huts and small mountain hamlets, framed by green meadows, streams, and impressive peaks on all sides.
A narrow trail lined with rhododendron bushes leads through a dense pine forest, offering wonderful views across the diverse landscapes of the Vall d’Incles.

Early in the morning, you leave Andorra and follow a scenic route through the impressive mountain landscapes to Ribes de Freser. Here, you board the rack railway, which takes you in about 45 minutes into the “Valley of Dreams” – the Vall de Núria, also known as a little piece of heaven on earth.
Along the ride, you pass through a picturesque natural setting of cascading waterfalls, clear rivers, and dense forests. With some luck, you may even catch sight of chamois or eagles. At 2,000 meters above sea level, the car-free high valley awaits you, surrounded by untouched nature.
By the lake lies the imposing Monastery of Núria, a spiritual site of deep religious significance. With your rack railway ticket, you enjoy free access to the auditorium, the museum, and the church. The shrine of the Virgin of Núria is an important place of pilgrimage, firmly rooted in local traditions. According to legend, a visit – especially dipping one’s head into the symbolic cauldron – brings health and fertility.
Take time to stroll around the lake or follow the well-marked hiking trails. The impressive mountain panorama and peaceful atmosphere make this excursion an unforgettable experience.

Today you will enjoy a varied hike along a gently babbling mountain stream that leads you up to a peaceful plateau. After a relaxing break, you continue on a well-marked circular trail offering magnificent views of the impressive glacial valley – a panorama not easily forgotten.
In the afternoon, on your way back to the hotel, you will visit Andorra’s most important shrine: the Sanctuary of Meritxell, dedicated to the country’s patron saint. According to legend, in the 12th century a shepherd discovered a statue of the Virgin beneath a blooming rose in the middle of winter. Miraculously, the statue returned three times to its original place, which the villagers took as a sign to build a chapel.
The original Romanesque chapel was later completely renovated. Today, a modern basilica stands on the site, elevated to Basilica Minor by Pope Francis in 2014 – a place of devotion and a symbol of Andorran identity.
